This is about why I set up a political party for American Christians. And we are on the ballot for this general election.
In this election cycle, American Christians are not happy with the prospect of having Bill Clinton back in the WH – just as they were most unhappy with Obama and his stance on LGBT. But what do they get from then Republicans? Donald Trump. A man who is now pushing a different type of moral on America via the Republican Party platform.
Well, like many of these American Christians, I want to be seen and remembered as a good Dad, and a good parent by my daughter, not as someone given to looking her up and down pervertedly.
That is why I set up the PILGRIMS Alliance Party of America and ReBuildUSAtoday. And thanks to God, we are in the ballot for general election as a progressive party.
American Christians have always voted by the law. This attitude (I am proud to say) is and has always been in line with guides the Bible laid down for Christians living in a democracy by the Bible. Matter of fact is, the Bible perfectly described Trump’s character and warned us against electing his type for a leader.
Here is what the Bible said:
* 1 Timothy 3:1-4, “The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own household well, with all dignity….”
* Hebrews 13:7 “Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.”
* Titus 1:5-7 specifically laid out democratic process by saying, “…put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you – if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain. Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.”
* Job 34:29-30, the Bible also forewarned, “When he is quiet, who can condemn? When he hides his face, who can behold him, whether it be a nation or a man?— that a godless man should not reign, that he should not ensnare the people.”
And now that Tim Kaine and Hillary Clinton are binding together, there is also a set of verses in the Bible that warns us as Christians to beware of an association of false and well practiced tongues – especially when it comes to public administration, fair trade, corruption and wages. To keep things short, the questionable return of Nehemiah – after several terms in office, and the unsavory public reaction he got comes to mind, before others.
As SmithieForPresident2016, it is my wish to ReBuildUSAtoday by embracing technology, infrastructure update and the new age of American Energy.
I need your help at the voting booth this general election.
