Not sure of time, but this day today in 1619 – exactly 400 years ago, is the day the first amongst the many slave ship(s) completes it’s trans Atlantic trip by arriving at port in Virginia – probably the main capital of the thirteen colonies then, with the first batch of slaves from the bay of guinea and the Gold Coast region of West Africa.
The day might not be celebrated as much, nonetheless, a day like this in the history of America or the United States – as we are today, calls for CIVILITY in our politics, political environment, every day discuss and social engagement.
