Politics could be local and get even more thrifty in a political system like ours. Charles Schummer has proved this to be true. He could remain a golden calf for as long as he wishes, nonetheless, the law, as always, will take precedence over the spirit.  
Retail politics or not, American interest comes first before anything else.  
And if I should remind him, …like the Gileadites to the Ephraimites, Iranians – Jews and non-Jews, will be at the receiving end of the political shibboleth, Schummer, Maloney, Gillibrand and others like them would like to see unleashed.
Note: you will not loose face with New Yorkers if you rethink your stance on the Iran nuclear deal. 80 million Iranian lives is at stake here.
